Get Out of Analysis Paralysis

and Finally Start Your Blog

My Post

Analysis paralysis is a really common problem for people, especially introverted bloggers. It can stop you from making any decisions at all and just leave you feeling frustrated when you have to make a choice. One of the best decisions that I ever made was starting my blog! This article will help you figure out what to do if analysis paralysis has been holding you back and how to finally start your blog today!

What is analysis paralysis?

Analysis paralysis is the feeling that you have to make a perfect decision on every little thing. For example, if you're trying to decide what to blog about or even what colors to use for your logo, it can cause an intense amount of stress and anxiety for someone with analysis paralysis.

It can keep you from doing anything with your blog because you are so afraid of making the wrong decision. You just analyze everything and put off taking action again and again and again.

Overcoming analysis paralysis

The first step in overcoming this problem is understanding how it affects you. It can lead to a lot of anxiety, frustration, and exhaustion when trying to make decisions about your blog. You want things to be perfect so you put them off.

You think if you can just find the perfect solution... the perfect first blog post, the perfect logo, the perfect name... then everything will fall into place.

This is why you're not making any progress.

Overcoming analysis paralysis

Take massive action

The only way to overcome analysis paralysis is by getting out of the paralysis and taking massive action. The key here is starting with something small that you can accomplish in minutes, like picking a name. You don't have to keep this name forever, but you do have to start with something. Pick something and move on to the next thing.

Set a timer for 5 minutes. Brainstorm names for that 5 minutes. When the timer goes off, pick the best name you have and go with it.

Stop overthinking

Don't overthink. Keep it simple and focus on making things happen right now!

If you keep waiting for the perfect solution or wait to see what everyone else does before taking action yourself, then you're never going to get anything done. Remember that the difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is simply this: Successful take action. Unsuccessful people never get started.

You're going to fail

I know this is difficult to hear, but it's true. Failure is an inevitable part of life and a part of blogging. You're going to make mistakes and do things poorly sometimes. You might as well learn from your failures, instead of trying to avoid them at all costs!

It's important that you know this now because the sooner we can get over our fear of failure, the quicker we'll be able to take action.

In fact, you're going to fail a lot before you start getting results on your blog. That's why it's very important that we learn from our failures as soon as possible--so they end up being all for nothing!

Sometimes, it's hard to know if the time and effort we put into our blog will pay off--especially in the beginning. I get out of analysis paralysis when I stay focused on my goals for blogging; not being discouraged by my mistakes or other people's opinions, and learning from what doesn't work as well as what does work.

Take massive action today and see how quickly things change in your favor!
